This past week HBC sophomores attended the SW MN Career Expo at MN West in Worthington. Students had the opportunity to connect with +80 exhibitors, go on a campus tour and participate in a game show to help them learn more about post-secondary options. The HBC 10th graders won the game show and brought back another trophy! #Patriotpride #HBCLearns

On Wednesday, September 18, the senior class cleaned up the ditches east of Hills on Highway 270. Hills-Beaver Creek senior classes have been participating in this Adopt a Highway activity since 2001! Nice work Class of 2025!

HBC 6th graders traveled to the Environmental Fair today. Students learned about invasive species, renewable fuels, trees, recycling and dinosaurs. Great authentic learning opportunity that supplements in-class science instruction. #HBCLearns

Today, Monday, September 23, 2024, the U.S. Department of Education has recognized Hills - Beaver Creek Secondary School as a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School. The National Blue Ribbon School was awarded to only 356 schools in our nation and only 7 schools in Minnesota. The National Blue Ribbon Award is a testament to the exceptional achievements of students and educators and families at each school. HBC Secondary would like to recognize our ELITE STUDENTS, STAFF, SCHOOL BOARD & FAMILIES as we celebrate being a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School - Exemplary High Performing School. HBC FFA students participated in Trap Shooting at Mountain Lake last week. Congrats to Blake L. on shooting 25 straight on his first round and finishing with an impressive total score of 49/50 - 1st Place! Congrats to this team for placing 3rd of 28 teams at Mt Lake! #HBCFFA
