Brayden Metzger, HBC 8th grader, won the HBC School Geography Bee. Brayden won First Place in the Geo Bee by correctly answering questions about US and World Geography. In January, Brayden will take a State qualifying Geography Bee online test.
Twenty-five 7th and 8th graders competed in the Annual Geo Bee. Elly Klosterbuer and Joshua Wiersma placed 2nd and 3rd respectively.
8th Grade Geography instructors are Mrs. Randi Oftedahl and Mr. Dan Ellingson. Mr. Ellingson administers the Annual competition to 7th and 8th grade students who wish to participate.

The HBC Junior Class will be selling freshly made, take and bake pizzas from Hy-Vee at the Girls basketball game versus Southwest Christian this Friday night, December 21.
We will begin selling at 5:45 and will sell until they are gone!
Prices are $8 each or 3 for $22. We will have Cheese, Pepperoni, and Sausage pizzas.

Saturday, December 15th, the 3rd-5th Grade Honor Choir will perform a Christmas Musical at Steen Reformed Church at 5pm. Soup supper to follow with proceeds going to the honor choir activities account.

Reminder that there will be parent teacher conferences tomorrow night at both the elementary and secondary school. Elementary conferences have been scheduled with parents. Secondary conferences will be held in teacher classrooms from 3:45 until 7:30.
