Two H-BC Junior High Robotics teams competed against 26 others in the FLL South Dakota State Competition on Saturday at Augustana. Both teams earned hardware at the event.
The Tubular Turtles won Best Video Explaining FLL to Parents.
The Brick Wall team won Best Video Showing Why We Love FLL and scored the second highest point score on the robot table game, earning them a finalist trophy.

This event concludes a season that started in early October and was the final competition for 8th grade H-BC Robotics veteran Adrik Harsma. He was also recognized during the awards ceremony for serving his final year in the program.

HBC Parent / Teacher Conferences Tonight - A friendly reminder that HBC has Parent/Teacher Conferences tonight, Thurs., Feb. 15th. Conferences are from 4:00 - 7:30 PM.
HBC Secondary (grades 6-12) has open house conferences during this time (no appointment necessary).
Elementary Conferences are pre-scheduled with student's teacher, if you would like to attend - email student's teacher to set up a time.
Lastly, another reminder of Early Dismissal today (2/15/24).
Early Dismissal Reminder: Hills-Beaver Creek Secondary dismisses at 12:45 pm and H-BC Elementary Dismisses at 1 pm today, Thursday, February 15, 2024 due to Elementary & Secondary Conferences later in the afternoon. Have a GREAT day!
