We invite all veterans, active duty military members and their families to join us as we honor and recognize your service.
Featuring HBC Alum Wade Blomgren (Class of ’96) – U.S. Army, Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, and founder of Hero Haven. Wade's Keynote Address is titled F.A.M.I.L.Y.
Veterans are encouraged to arrive by 8:45 AM for a group photo.
☕ Refreshments will be served following the program.

Exciting News for Hills-Beaver Creek and HBC Track & Field Program!
HBC has been truly blessed with generous support for the partial track project! Thanks to the incredible leadership and generosity of Kristi Metzger, HBC Alumni - Class of '93, who secured a $150,000 grant from the Lyon County Riverboat Foundation and personally contributed $250,000, this vision is becoming a reality. The district has also pledged $100,000 toward the project. Kristi presented the $250,000 check today in front of the future track site.
We are deeply grateful for Kristi’s leadership, generosity, and continued support of our community and school. While much planning remains ahead, we’re excited to share preliminary renderings of the project and look forward to the opportunities it will bring for our students and community.
Note: The track rendering shown is not final—the soccer field is included for size reference only. The partial track will be located west of the Secondary School in Hills, with construction planned to begin Spring/Summer 2026.

They joined over 500 student leaders from all across Minnesota for breakout sessions, team building, keynote speakers, and a parade of ideas where councils shared their best ideas and projects. They also had team time to plan upcoming events and reflect on new ideas for HBC!
Such a fun and inspiring couple of days connecting, learning, and getting ready for a great year ahead!

During her time with us, Donna has helped serve nearly 800,000 meals to our amazing students and staff — always with care, dedication, and a smile. The HBC community came together to show support for Alden-Conger's Henry Beaver and his family, raising a combined total of $2,916 through free will donations, stuff the helmet at half time & concession stand proceeds.
Thank you to everyone who showed their support and contributed. Continued thoughts and prayers for Henry and his family as they continue to navigate this road.
